Funeral services for Earl Edward Paist, 50, will be held at 1 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Methodist church in Stanwood. The Rev. Gordon Vickery will be in charge. Burial will be in Stanwood.

Mr. Paist died Sunday evening at Mercy hospital of a heart attack, which he suffered earlier that day.

Pallbearers will be L. W. Meyer, Henry Ormsby, Glenn Thumma, Carl Haesemeyer and Max Coppess. Mrs. John Swift sang, accompanied by Mrs. Edward Speer. Mrs. Carl Nanke and Mrs. Art Kintzel were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Paist operated the Paist elevators in Stanwood for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Lions club and the Modern Woodmen.

The son of A. E. and Ida Sander Paist, he was born August 16, 1910, in Stanwood and lived his entire life in the Stanwood community. He was married to Elsie Brunson Aug. 12, 1936, at Albert Lea, Minn.

He is survived by his wife, 4 daughters, Mrs. Keith (Geraldine) Flockhart, Lisbon; Mrs. Darrell (Carol) Worby, Connie and Bonnie, Stanwood; 5 grandchildren, his parents, a brother, Charles and a sister, Mrs. Robert Reilly, all of Gary, Ind.
