Clarence Herman Miller, 68, a barber in Tipton for more than 42 years, died at St. Luke's hospital Saturday. Funeral services were held Monday at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home with the Rev. Howard Dukelow in charge. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery.
Miller was born at Table Grove, Ill., Dec. 14, 1887. He served in the U.S. army overseas during World War I.
He was married to Ruth Nelson Walton Oct. 11, 1928 at Tipton.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Don Walton, Bellingham, Wash.; James Walton, Tipton, and Walter Walton, Davenport; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Gasparino, New York City, and Mrs. Evelyn Crockett, Tulsa, Okla., and 12 grandchildren. Two grandchildren preceded him in death.
He is also survived by a brother and a sister.
