Mrs. Fred Berry, 69, once a Tipton resident, died Tuesday at Mercy hospital in Iowa City.

Mrs. Berry was born in Johnson county Aug. 28, 1886, a daughter of Perry and Ann Smith Clifford. She was married to Fred Berry March 11, 1922, in Muscatine.

The couple resided near West Branch and later in Tipton and Lowden.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Glee, of Salinas, Calif.; Howard R., Iowa City, and Edward, Lowden, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Bickford, Iowa City, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at the Downey church with burial in the Downey cemetery.
