Funeral services for Ernest Wisener, 83, were held Sunday in the Sheets and Dahn funeral home with the Rev. Harold Kratzat officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. The Odd Fellows lodge conducted grave-side services.

Mr. Wisener died April 13 at the Odd Fellows Home at Mason City.

The son of Amos and Miranda P. Wisener, he was born in Lisbon, Sept. 12, 1872. He lived his entire life in Cedar county. As a young boy he worked in a brick and tile company and later on Cedar county farms.

April 6, 1899, he was married to Matilda Brendes. After six years farming, the couple moved back to Tipton, where he engaged in selling ice, first natural ice, then the management of an artificial ice plant for a number of years.

Later he operated as school bus and was custodian of the I.O.O.F. hall until he retired.

He was preceded in death by his wife May 1, 1955. He was the last of a family of 10 girls and two boys.

He is survived by a brother-in-law, C. F. W. Kleppe, Clarence, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Pauline Threde, Holstein.
