Leonard Helmer, 51, a native of Mechanicsville, died suddenly at his home in Hawthorne, Nev.

Mr. Helmer was born in Mechanicsville and lived in Cedar county until after his graduation from high school. He is survived by his wife, the former Elva Rigby, and a son.

His sister-in-law, Mrs. Willard Boots, and his cousin, Mrs. W. E. Wright, left Friday for Hawthorne where funeral services were held Monday.
