Funeral services for Carl Jensen, 68, were held Monday in Bethany Lutheran church in West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Jensen died in Mercy hospital in Iowa City, Feb. 18, after a lingering illness. He was admitted to the hospital Feb. 1

Mr. Jensen was born in Denmark May 16, 1887, and came to West Branch as a young man. He moved to Elk Horn where he was postmaster for 20 years before returning to West Branch in November.

He was married to Agnes Anderson in 1944 at Elk Horn. He is survived by his widow and five stepchildren.
