Stanwood, Ia., March 7--A telegram Saturday announced the sudden death of William Edwin Maley in Chicago that day. He was taken sick on the street and in about thirty minutes passed away. The body was brought to Stanwood, where he had lived until about three years ago. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. A. S. Dailey of the United Presbyterian church. Messrs. Fankhouser, Stoecker, Haesemeyer, and Hamilton sang. Mr. Maley was born near little York, Ill., 1866. He was the second child of the late M. J. and Mrs. Maley and the first of their twelve children to pass away. Beside his mother, brothers and sisters he leaves a wife and two children.
