Funeral services for Mrs. Abbie M. Lehman, 78, who died Thursday morning, Sept. 5, at her home west of Buchanan, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Sheets and Dahn Funeral Home, Tipton.

The Rev. Howard Dukelow, pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiated. Burial was in the Woodbridge cemetery.

Abbie M. Edwards was born at Cedar Bluff Dec. 14, 1878, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Edwards.

She attended the rural school at Buchanan while a girl and was united in marriage to Edward Lehman in Tipton Oct. 11, 1899. The couple has always made its home in the Buchanan community.

Mrs. Lehman always belonged to the Union church of Buchanan and the Ladies Aid society of the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant daughter, Millie, one half brother, Clare Stout.

She is survived by her husband; one sister, Mrs. James A. Elliott, Houston, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
