Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Scott, 84, were held Thursday afternoon at Mechanicsville with the Rev. George Gallaher officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Scott died Aug. 25 in a nursing home at Wilton Junction where she had been for two weeks, while her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Davis of Durant, with whom she made her home, were on a trip.

She was born Annie Margaret McEowen Jan. 23, 1873, the daughter of George and Mary Ann McEowen. She was married to Walter H. Scott Sept. 3, 1894, and with the exception of three years in Durant, she lived her entire life in the Mechanicsville community.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church. She is survived by her daughter.
