William Schult, 70, Durant, died July 30 in his home after an extended illness.

He was born Dec. 2, 1886, in New Liberty. He married Emma Diedrich Jan. 5, 1916. The couple farmed near New Liberty and Sunbury, moving to Durant in November, 1956. Mr. Schult was a member of the German-American Pioneer association and of the Modern Woodmen of America.

Surviving are the widow; two sons, Harlyn, Durant, and Leroy, Moscow; two daughters, Mrs. Audrey Guyer, Wilton Junction and Mrs. Lorene Wenndt, Sunbury; six grandchildren; four brothers, Henry and Leonard, both of Davenport; Frank, Flandeau, S.D., and Edward, Milford and a sister, Mrs. Rose Paustian, Durant.

Funeral services were Thursday in Davenport. The Rev. Fred Rolf officiated. Burial was in Durant cemetery.
