Funeral services are pending for Mrs. Louise Werling French, 92, who died Wednesday evening at a Mt. Vernon nursing home. Her body is at the Sheets & Dahn funeral home.

Mrs. French is survived by two sons, Herbert and John, both living in Montana. She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Edna) Wingert, who died last year.

Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Werling French, 91, were held Monday at the Sheets & Dahn funeral home with the Rev. A. C. Long officiating. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery at Tipton.

Mrs. French died June 5 in a Mt. Vernon rest home, following an illness of two years.

Born Aug. 25, 1865, in Cedar county, Mrs. French was the daughter of John and Catherine Willer Werling. She was the youngest and last survivor of a family of six children. She was educated in the Cedar county schools.

She was married to John Shuler French in Des Moines Oct. 25, 1883, and lived most of her life in Cedar county near Tipton and later moved to California. She returned to Tipton three years ago to make her home with the Ralph Wingert family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, Minnie, Lena and Mary; two brothers, John and Charles, and two daughters, Edna and Zeda.

She is survived by two sons, John, Bozeman, Mont., and Herbert, Quietus, Mont.; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
