Funeral services for Charles Joseph Zousel, 65, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's church, Cedar Valley. The Rosary will be recited Friday evening at Sheets & Dahn funeral home.

Mr. Zousel died Wednesday morning in the Veterans hospital at Iowa City. He had been in ill health for a year.

Born in Cedar county July 11, 1892, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zousel. He spent his entire life in this county, and was employed for a number of years as maintenance operator by the county. He had also served as justice of the peace in Gower township.

Survivors include his wife, the former Jessie Van Dusen; and four children, Ardel and Charles Jr. of West Branch, Fred of Tipton, and Violet, at home; and a brother, James, of West Branch.
