Mrs. Lou M. Wood, 85, died suddenly Dec. 18 in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vern Freeman where she had been cared for the past two years.
Services were held Dec. 21 at Olin with burial in the Olin cemetery beside her husband, who died 17 years ago.
Four of her children attended the services, the 2 from out-of-town being Mrs. LuVerna Robinson, Davenport and Clayton Wood and wife, Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Dolly Shaw, San Leandro, Calif., and Mrs. Blanche Von Sprecken of Oakland, Calif. were unable to attend. In addition to Edna, who has cared for her mother, Mrs. Lee (Winifred) Freeman of Clarence also survives.
Relatives and friends who attended from a distance were Dr. and Mrs. F. E. Filgraf of Cedar Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Sebern, Ottumwa, Mr. and Mrs. Louis LeLorm, Indianpolis, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Wood and son, Dennis, of Chicago, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Brown and sons, Barry, Craig and Pat, Davenport.
Mrs. Cassie Baker, a sister-in-law, who is 87 years old, living in Manilla, was unable to attend services for Mrs. Wood. She is the last remaining of the family of William Baker and Janet Stone Baker.
