Funeral services for Harry Hatcher, 63, were held Nov. 23 at the Methodist church in Mechanicsville with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

He died Nov. 20 at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness.

Mr. Hatcher, the son of Charles and Jessie Young Hatcher, was born in Mechanicsville May 3, 1896 and spent his entire life in the Mechanicsville area where he worked as a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, the former Ida Grapes; 2 sisters, Mrs. Jo Trump, Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Ed Broell, Waterloo. A son, Robert, died in 1930. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Forrest and Marion and a sister, Beulah.
