Funeral services for Charles Rodenburg, 73, a native of Cedar county, were held Thursday at Durant. Burial was in the Durant cemetery. Mr. Rodenburg had been a resident of Davenport for 35 years.

Mr. Rodenburg died at an Iowa City hospital April 28, following an extended illness.

He was born March 12, 1886, in Lime City, and was united in marriage to Tillie Wulf March 2, 1909, in Fulda, Minn. Mr. Rodenburg had been a building contractor in Davenport for the past 35 years.

Surviving are the wife; 3 sons, Victor, Charles and Alvin, all of Davenport; 3 daughters, Mrs. Chester Stromberg, Mrs. Harry Lewis, and Mrs. Edward Lenninger, all of Davenport; 9 grandchildren; one great grandchild; 2 brothers, Fred, California, and Harry, Minnesota, and one sister, Mrs. Ann Meenan, Rock Island, Ill.
