Lewis Burmeister, 83, died Saturday night at the Cedar county home. He had been in failing health for some time. He was born April 9, 1876.

Services were held Tuesday in Clarence with Gordon Smith officiating. Burial will be in North Clarence cemetery.

He was a retired farmer and painter. Survivors include a son, Nelson, of Oxford, N.J.
