Mrs. Lewella M. Grauel, 85, formerly of Tipton died Sept. 7 in a Cedar Rapids hospital.

Born at Equality, Ill., March 17, 1875, she was married to Walter Nelson at Equality May 14, 1893. Mr. Nelson died at Tipton, Feb. 27, 1939.

She was married to Arthur D. Grauel at Lisbon Aug. 3, 1947, and they moved to Marion. Mr. Grauel died Oct. 29, 1953. Mrs. Grauel was for many years a practical nurse.

Mrs. Grauel was a member of the Methodist church at Marion, a past president of the Women's Relief Corps at Tipton and a member of the Past Noble Grands association of the Tipton Rebekah lodge. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Ruth) Miller of Tipton.

Services were held Wednesday with the Rev. Ralph E. Baker in charge. The Helping Hand Rebekah lodge of Tipton assisted in the services. Burial was in Cedar Memorial cemetery.
