Funeral services for Mrs. Russell Shaffer, 62, are pending following Mrs. Shaffer's death at her home in Tipton Wednesday morning. Mrs. Shaffer took her life by drowning, Dr. O. E. Kruse, acting coroner, said.

Zelda Margaret Simons was born in Cedar county March 8, 1897, and spent her entire life in the county. She was married to Russell Shaffer in 1913 and they have made their home here since then.

She is survived by her husband, 3 daughters, Mrs. Maurlene Dawson, Mechanicsville; Mrs. Deloris Wildasin, Tipton, and Mrs. Sharon Whipple, Arcadia, Calif.; a son, Robert, Arcadia, Calif.; 5 grandchildren and 6 step-grandchildren.
