Mrs. Frances Leanna Randall, 70, resident of West Branch for many years, died at her home at 10:30 p.m. Sept. 17.

Born Sept. 21, 1887, at Ainsworth, she was a daughter of Henry and Laura Hull Mize. She came to West Branch with her parents when she was 12 and was graduated from West Branch high school. She later attended nurses school at University hospital, Iowa City.

Mrs. Randall was employed in a drug store at West Branch for many years and worked at the post office for three years, serving as postmistress for a year.

She was married to Floyd O. Randall Oct. 19, 1925, at Muscatine.

Mrs. Randall was a member of the Methodist church and of Juanita chapter, No. 274, of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Byrdetta Wehrman, and two grandchildren, all of West Branch. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. E. A. Gray, West Branch, and Mrs. Jesse Dowthaite, Ames, and a brother, Harry Mize, Ames.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and a brother.

Funeral services were held at West Branch Sunday with the Rev. L. E. Bauman, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.
