30 October 1958 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Dewey Osborn, 58, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rochester church with burial in the Rochester cemetery.

Mr. Osborn died of a heart attack at his farm home 10 miles southwest of Tipton Tuesday morning. He was born March 29, 1900, at Rochester.

He is survived by 6 sons, Roland, Paul, Hugh, Berton, Gerald, and Frank, and 2 daughters, Mrs. Louis McQuillen and Mrs. Honey Lou Taylor, both of Tipton, and 16 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Admiral Dewey Osborn, 58, were held Oct. 31 in the Rochester Methodist church with the Rev. Richard Hostetler officiating. Burial was in the Rochester cemetery.

He was the son of Abraham and Carrie Osborn, born March 29, 1900 in Rochester. On Nov. 11, 1922, he was married to Myrtle Grace Turner.

They were the parents of 9 children: 2 daughters, Honey Lou and Patricia Faye and 7 sons, Roland, Paul, Hugh, Burton, Gerald, Frank and Dewey, Jr., who preceded him in death.

Mr. Osborn lived his entire life in the Tipton and Rochester communities. He died suddenly Oct. 28, 1958 of a heart attack while at work at his home. He is survived by his wife and 8 children, 3 brothers, Guy, Atalissa; Dan, Muscatine and William, Atalissa. His mother, father, brother John and three sisters, Mary, Eva and Nellie preceded him in death.
