Funeral services for Charles Ochiltree, 94, were held at the Dye Funeral home Monday with the Rev. A. C. Long in charge. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
Casket bearers were George Roberts, William Hobstetter, Neal Reeve, William Dinse, George Thein and William Andresen.
Ochiltree died at his home in Tipton at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 9.
The son of R. K. and Sara Wertz Ochiltree, he was born in Cedar county July 10, 1864. He was married to Fanny Huber Sept. 7, 1888.
He is survived by a son, Wilbur, Tipton; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Handley, Solon and two brothers, Bert, Tipton, and Walter, Appleton, Wis.
He is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Mrs. Janet Hawkins, Richard Handley and Mrs. Helen Montz, all of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Evelyn Niles, Coggon; Robert Handley, Marion, Ind., and John Handley, West Branch and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and three daughters.
