Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at West Branch for Mrs. Jessie Dowthwaite, 75, widow of a former West Branch jeweler. The Rev. L. E. Bowman will be in charge of services.

Mrs. Dowthwaite died Tuesday night at the Hawker nursing home in West Liberty where she had been a patient 2 months.

The daughter of Henry M. and Laura Hull Mize, she was born in Washington county, Nov. 11, 1883. She attended school in Ainsworth and West Branch.

She was married to George W. Macomber in 1904 and lived in West Branch for 25 years where they operated a jewelry store. They later moved to California where they operated a jewelry store until her husband's death in 1931.

In 1946 she was married to Frank Dowthwaite at Montana, Calif. He died in 1954 and she returned to West Branch and made her home with her sister, Mrs. Jean Gray and with her brother, Harry Mize, at Ames.
