Stanwood, Ia. Feb. 17.--Mrs. Wm. Faruhar received the sad news Saturday morning that her sister, Mrs. Julius Gottschalk of Lowden, had passed away Friday night from pneumonia. Mrs. Gottschalk, nee Bertha Gienap, lived through her girlhood years at Stanwood and was loved by all for her amiable disposition and sweetness of character and the deepest sympathy is expressed for the stricken family. A number of relatives and friends from this place attended the funeral at Lowden.
