Joseph Frederick Baker, 76, was born in Cedar county and passed away Friday, July 15. The Rosary was recited at the Peterseim funeral home Sunday and services were held in the Cedar Valley church Monday morning with Father Collins of the Catholic church in charge.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; one son Earl, of Tipton; daughters Agnes Driscoll and Loretta Hilton of Tipton, Alice Mathias and Theresa Mathias of Muscatine, Cecelia Baker of Cedar Rapids; 3 sisters, Martha Ann Adams, Mary Burroughs and Anna Baker of Tipton and Frederick Baker of West Branch.
