On last Monday morning occurred the very sudden death of Mrs. Fannie Leech. She leaves a husband and two sons to mourn her loss.

The funeral was held at the home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Rev. Craft preaching the sermon. An obituary will appear next week.

DIED--Suddenly, on Sept. 2nd, 1889, of mastoid abscess at the base of the brain, Ruthanna W. Leech, wife of L. J. Leech, in her 43rd year.

Ruthanna W., daughter of Aquilla and Ann Whitacre, was born June 11, 1846 in Warren, Co., Ohio. Moved to Iowa with her parents in 1865. She was married to L. J. Leech August 15, 1865. Ollie and Bertie were born to them and with their father morn her loss. Funeral services were held at the house, conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. S. Craft. The interment was at the Highland Grove Cemetery.
