DIED COLLINS--In Omaha Neb, on Jan 29 1888 Eli M. Collins in the 33d year of his age.

Eli M. Collins was born on Oct. 14th 1855. Last April he went to Omaha and engaged in working at his trade.

On Dec. 26th he was taken sick. He was taken immediately to the home of his brother Edwin L Collins where all that loving hearts and willing hands could do to make him comfortable was cheerfully done, but in spite of all quick consumption did its work and on the 28th of Jan he passed away surrounded by his mother and friends. The funeral services were conducted at the M.E. Church West Branch Iowa by Rev. W. S. Craft.

The attendance was large thronging the church showing the esteem in which he was held by his friends and neighbors here. The remains were interred in the cemetery north of town.
