Joshua Morris was born near Cardington, Ohio, in the year 1839, and died at the home of his sister, Kesiah Greene, April 4, 1904, in Tampa, Fla., in the sixty-sixth year of his age.

Mr. Morris was a brother of our townsman, J. P. Morris, besides whom there is one brother and two sisters left to mourn his loss, two of whom are residents of Tampa. Mr. Morris had never married and of late years had lived alone on his ranch near Tampa, but feeling the lassitude of disease creeping upon him, he repaired to the home of his sister. Here, after a lapse of a few days, he peacefully passed from labor to reward.

He was a man careful and consciencious in all of his transactions and was admired for his true Christian life. His memory will be revered by a wide circle of friends and relatives.
