Niels Peter Jensen was born in Roskilde, Denmark, Jan. 7, 1890. He was baptized April 7, 1890 and was confirmed March 27, 1904. He came to the United States some five or six years ago. The most of this time he spent working on farms around West Branch.

He has no relatives here. His parents are both dead. He leaves one or two sisters in Denmark.

Niels was a member of the Danish Lutheran Young Peoples Society of which he was vice president. He was industrious and upright and leaves a large number of friends who will mourn his early death.

He died Tuesday, Oct. 22, after an illness of about ten days, as a result of an attack of influenza.

Short services will be held at the grave in the West Branch cemetery this afternoon conducted by Rev. N. P. Clemmensen.
