Franklin Yetter was born in Pennsylvania Febr. 17, 1843. At the age of 13 years he moved with his parents to Gower township, Cedar county, Iowa, where he lived on a farm until about 12 years ago, when he moved to the present home of the family in West Branch.

July 3, 1864, he was united in marriage to Miss Catherine Wright. To this union five children were born: Sarah Jane, Joseph Henry, Helen Belle, George Washington, William Franklin. The eldest daughter, Mrs. Wood, died Mar. 10, 1889.

Deceased departed this life Saturday evening, May 12, 1907, after a brief illness, leaving the widow, four children and seven grandchildren, with one brother, and many friends to mourn his departure.

Mr. Yetter was a member of the United Brethren Church, having united with that body in 1869, and was a faithful, loyal and devoted member of his church until the local organization was finally disbanded.
