21 June 1888 - The Local Record

DIED--Monday evening June 18, 1888 at the residence of his son in law Joseph Cook, JOHN HIRST in the ninty first year of his age. He had been in very feeble health for a long time the principle ailment being old age. The funeral was held at the house at 3 p.m. yesterday, the interment at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
