Pierce Wall, a long time resident of Cedar county who went to Iowa City eight years ago, died Sunday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Margaret Donovan, 535 South Johnson street. Had he lived until next month he would have been 93 years of age.

Mr. Wall was born in Ireland, coming to this country while young and settling in Cedar county near the Johnson county line. He leaves five sons and five daughters. The sons are Ed. Wall of Iowa City, Thomas, John and Pierce Wall of Nolan Settlement and Frank of Gettysburg, S.D., and the daughters are Sister Mary Angeline of Peoria, Ill., Mrs. William Eckrich of Cosgrove, Ia., Mrs. E. D. Russell of Fort Dodge, Ia., Mrs. C. W. Droll of Chariton, Ia., and Mrs. Margaret Donovan.

The funeral was Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's church and burial was at Nola Settlement.
