Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Morris were called to Tipton, Sunday, by the serious illness of his sister, Miss Jennie Morris, and on Wednesday morning her death occurred.

For several years Miss Morris, whose health was poor, has been cared for at the county home and her death occurred there. Her brother, J. J. Morris, of Creston, arrived Wednesday afternoon.

Priscilla J., daughter of John P. and Priscilla Morris, was born in Cedar county 11th Mo. 23rd, 1853, and died near Tipton, Iowa, 12th Mo. 12th, 1928, being 74 years and 24 days old at the time of her death.

She was a birthright member of Friends church and had lived an earnest christian life from childhood.

Her mother died when she was about one year old. Her father took her to Davenport, the nearest railroad point. From there they proceeded to Cordington, Ohio, where she made her home with her grandparents. Later she returned to Cedar county, where she has since made her home.

The surviving family consists of three half brothers and one half sister, Samuel Morris of California; J. J. Morris of Creston, Ia.; Rachel Smith of Guthrie Center and A. W. Morris of West Branch. J. J. Morris of Creston was the only one from away who was present at the funeral service.

She was laid to rest near her parents in the Springdale cemetery.

A short funeral service was held at the cemetery, conducted by Rev. M. E. Rees.
