DIED On Thursday, Jan. 25th, at 10 o'clock P.M. of diphtheria, LIZZIE aged 14 years ?months and ?days, youngest daughter of Brinton T. and Michal Gruwell.

The bereaved parents and lonely sister have the sympathy of many friends in this sudden sorrow. She struggled nobly for life tho' every symptom of the affection seemed to be against her; but after about a week's suffering her strength was obliged to surrender, but not until after the disease had produced seven crops of membrane, each succeeding one going deeper into her vitals the eighth one producing suffocation. She died in full faith of a crown of life through the mercies and merits of a Redeemer in whom she trusted.

The funeral occurred on Friday at 1 o'clock P.M. and the remains were interred at the cemetery at Honey Grove.
