Miss Lina Simons, late of 300 E avenue northeast, Cedar Rapids, died at Oakdale at 8:45 Wednesday morning following a lingering illness. She had been in the sanitarium there for several months in the hope of overcoming an illness of tuberculosis.

Lina was born in Tipton, October 24, 1894, and had been a resident of Cedar Rapids for the past twenty years. She was reared in Tipton and for a number of years was employed in the Tipton telephone office.

Surviving are three sisters, Ethel Simons, Oakdale; Mrs. Carl Barker of Cedar Rapids; Ruby Duncan of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Robert Duncan of Tipton, and her step-father Sam Duncan of Tipton.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at Turner mortuary, Cedar Rapids, the body being brought to Tipton for interment in Masonic cemetery at three o'clock.
