Laura E. Maxson was born near Dixon, Ill., in November, 1861, and died at her home at Springdale, Iowa, April 19th, 1914, after a stroke of apoplexy, which occurred April 13th. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, Willard H. Maxson; a sister, Mrs. Mary Domer, of Sask, Canada. (A brother, Wm. Troutman, deceased two years ago.) Also three step-children, Foster Maxson and Halcyon Fogg, both of this vicinity, and Don Maxson of near Alburnett, who loved her as a mother, and who deeply feel the loss of a loved one. She also leaves many friends in this vicinity who will miss her from their number. Burial took place Wednesday at the Masonic grounds at Tipton beside her parents and brother.
