9 July 1914 - West Branch Times

Mrs. W. T. Heacock died at the family home in West Chelan, Washington, Tuesday morning, June 30, at 3:30 o'clock, death being the result of apoplexy caused by chronic heart trouble. Mrs. Heacock had been in frail health since last February, when she suffered an unusually severe attack of heart disease.

The funeral was held at the home Thursday morning at 10:00 o'clock and was conducted jointly by Rev. H. J. Gurr of St. Andrews and Rev. C. W. Monson, pastor of the M.E. church.

Josepha H. Ward was born at West Branch, Iowa, on May 3, 1871, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robt. M. Ward. With the exception of two or three years which her parents spent in Kansas during her childhood, all her early life was lived in the state of her birth. She was married to W. T. Heacock on December 28, 1890, at West Branch. Three children were born to the union, Myra J., Ward J. and Jerald J. Heacock, all of whom survive and deeply mourn a kind, affectionate and devoted mother; and all of whom, because of the influence of her training and teaching and her example in living to the ideals of true manhood and womanhood, give promise of becoming useful and respected citizens.
