19 March 1925 - West Branch Times

Funeral services were held Sunday in the Friends' meeting house east of Barnesville for Mary W. Meyers, wife of Joseph E. Meyers, who passed away at her home east of Barnesville after a protracted illness. Interment was made in the Stillwater burying ground.

She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Lydia Worthington and was born April 24, 1862, at Pennsville, Morgan county, Ohio. Her father died when she was only three weeks old and being thrown among strangers early in life, she developed an intense sympathy for all orphan children. And she was also very much interested in efforts for the general advancement of the community in which she lived.

December 20, 1894, the deceased was united in marriage with Joseph E. Meyers and they settled on a farm near West Branch, Iowa, where their four children were born. The children are Bernice L., Thyra Jane Meyers Foster, C. Lionel and Ambrose W., who with her husband survive.

After thirteen years residence in the West the Meyers family moved here where they have since made their home. Barnesville, Ohio, Enterprise, March 10, 1925.
