24 March 1927 - West Branch Times

Elsie Heacock was born in Cedar county, Iowa, on October 6, 1876, and passed from this life on Friday, March 18, 1927, at her home one mile west and three miles north of West Branch, Iowa.

On June 6, 1900, she was united in marriage with Charles A. Ohl. The newly married couple made their home in Iowa City, later moving to the farm which has been their home for many years. The illness which caused her death began last September, and reached an acute stage in February, after which she was continuously confined to her bed. The kindly influence of this loving and devoted mother will be greatly missed in the family circle, as well as by her many other relatives and friends.

She leaves to hold her in loving remembrance her husband, Charles Ohl, her four children, Mrs. Alice Orr of Iowa City, Fred, John and Arlene Ohl of West Branch, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the home at 10:30 on Tuesday morning, March 22, 1927, with Rev. W. C. Perdew officiating. The interment was made in the Honey Grove cemetery.
