Miss Euphemia Shearer, sister of Mrs. Gordon Carl, passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. A. McLaughlin, in Massillon, O., Thursday evening, March 13. Miss Shearer was a Tipton pioneer having been born here Nov. 10, 1865. She grew to womanhood and received her education in the Tipton schools. Her home was in Tipton until fourteen years ago, when she moved with the Rev. Andrews family to Ashland, O., where she lived until several years ago. Since then she has made her home with her sister, Mrs. J. A. McLaughlin. Another sister, Mrs. R. A. Dutton of Nebraska, survives. The three sisters are the only living members of the Shearer family.
