SARAH ANN VINCENT, nee Heathman, died at her home near Plato, Iowa, Oct. 3rd, 1896, aged 66 years, 4 months, 23 days.

The deceased was born in Madison Co Kentucky, in 1830, and was married to James Vincent in 1851. Together with her husband she came to the state of Iowa early in their married life and continued to reside in Cedar Co. until her demise.

As a wife she was faithful and affectionate. As a mother indulgent and loving. As a friend constant and true. As a neighbor kind and helpful. She will be greatly missed by all who had the good fortune of her friendship and association, while to her family her memory will be "like ointment poured fourth". There are eight children, five sons and three daughters left to mourn their loss.

Her husband preceded her two years ago to the land immortal, whither now she has gone to share the reunion that shall be destroyed no more. The funeral took place from the home on Oct. 5th conducted by Rev. George Furnace, Presbyterian minister of West Branch. G.F.
