H. L. Duple, who died at Mt. Pleasant, during the last week, following a stroke of paralysis and a brief consequent illness, was a native of Cedar county, having been born near West Branch August 15, 1860. The burial was on Sunday in Oak Ridge cemetery, West Liberty. Surviving are his widow and two sons--Jesse J. Duple of Denver, Colo., and L. C. Duple, West Liberty. A brother, William, and a sister, Mrs. Mattie Wright, of Pierce City, Mo., and Nampa, Idaho, respectively also mourn. Mr. Duple was a Mason and Pythian, and those organizations conducted the services at the grave. --Iowa City Press-Citizen
