The funeral of Ezra Heald was held here Saturday with interment at Hickory Grove.

Mr. Heald died at Tipton after a long and tedious illness. He is survied by his widow, one daughter, Ida, and one son, Walter.

Ezra Heald was born In Columbiana county, Ohio, Aug. 24, 1843, and passed away at the County Home near Tipton, Iowa, July 26, 1923. When a young man he moved to Iowa, settling in Cedar county near West Branch. He lived in that vicinity until four years ago when he took up his abode in the county home.

He was married to Delilah Crispin Aug. 29, 1877. To this union were born two children, Ida and Walter, who with their mother survive him.

He was a birthright member of the Friends church at West Branch and was loyal to the services of this church as long as he was able to attend.

Funeral services were conducted at the county home on Saturday afternoon, July 28th, by Rev. C. M. Wallace and the body was laid to rest in the Friends cemetery near West Branch.
