16 March 1922 - West Branch Times

Isaac M. Lane was born at Steamboat Rock, Hardin county, Iowa, Dec. 10, 1856, and departed this life March 10, 1922, in Tipton, Iowa.

To his first marriage were born two children; both with the mother have preceded him to the other world. In 1900 he was married to Sarah T. Wilson, who, with their two foster children, Mrs. Gladys Duncan of Cloverton, Minn., who has been here during his last sickness, and Paul Kenneth at home, are left to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father.

He has been a photographer for over 40 years, with the exception of the past four years. For a number of years he was in business in West Branch. He has been in very poor health the past two years, and the past few months has been in great suffering, which he has born with great patience. And was ready and willing to leave this life of suffering. A few days before his death he told a friend who was visiting him, that "God Is Love."

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. H. Wilson from the I. J. Wilson home Monday afternoon.
