Died. On the 2d inst., of consumption, Hallie, wife of Eli Elliott, age 29 years, 2 months and 9 days.

Though for several years a sufferer with what was regarded as a bronchial affection, her disease had only within a short time developed into recognized consumption, and her decline had been so rapid that only her near friends realized that her days were numbered.

Young and full of energy, with a devoted husband and two little ones to brighten life and afford its share of responsibility and care, she hoped against hope until forced to see that life for her was near its close, when she quietly and calmly accepted the inevitable, talked much and hopeful of the eternal future, upon which she entered with unquestioning faith with patient sweetness, awaited the end, and was at last permitted to fall asleep as peacefully as a weary child. --West Liberty Enterprise
