Mrs. Malinda J. Ellyson passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs George Gause, in West Liberty, Sunday morning at nine o'clock. Death was due to old age.

Deceased was born in Ohio, Jan 9, 1838. She married Zadoc Ellyson in Cedar county, Iowa, in 1861, and they lived on a farm there for 41 years. They then moved to West Liberty where she had lived for 18 years. Her husband preceded her in death two years.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Ela Gause of West Liberty and three sons, Dr. Chas., of Waterloo, Iowa, Albert of Citronell, Ala., and Edwin of Davenport, Iowa. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the George Gause home on Third street. Burial at Oakridge cemetery.
