DIED At his old home, 1 mile east of Downey, Cedar County, Iowa, HANSON GREGG, of heart disease, July 22, 1891, in the seventy-eighth year of his age.

Deceased was born in Belmont, Ohio, and came to Iowa in 1850 and purchased the home on which he has lived continuously since. Was married in 18?1 to Sarah Ann Wright who died two years ago last February. Seven children survive him: Eliza J., Lewis and Frank of Downey, Henry of West Branch, Fred and Niles of Des Moines, Mrs. Susan Nichols and Caroline Skirving of Stewart, Neb. The interment takes place at the cemetery east of Downey today. With the ending of his long and honorable career one of the land first marks of old Cedar is obliterated.
