On the first of April Joseph Raley died, aged 87 years. Deceased was sick only a few days, was a member of the Friends church, and lived a sober consistent life. Several years ago he married the widow Coppoc whose sons took an active part with John Brown. Her son Joseph, of Clear Lake, arrived just in time to attend the funeral. Last Saturday she returned with him, expecting to make a short visit with him, her only surviving child.
