At her home in Kansas City, of quick consumption, Sept. 24th, 1901, Mrs. Edith Rose.

Edith Crowley was born in Stanwood, Iowa, Sept. 14, 1871. Her childhood was spent there. In 1886 the family moved to Excelsior Springs, Missouri. In 1890 Edith was married to Frank Rose. She was a talented woman and excelled as a painter of original studies.

She was a member of the West Side Christian church of Kansas City, and an earnest worker. Two little daughters have lost a loving mother. Her husband, parents and sister are bereft of one very dear. But He, who doeth all things well, has only taken back that which was given for a time.
