The funeral of Elvira Pearson which occurred last Monday at the Friends Church in Springdale is said to have been the largest attended in that place for many years.

Again death has visited in our midst and two of our sufferers have passed to their rest. Miss Elvira Pearson laid down the burdens of life last Saturday and Mrs. Sarah Armstrong Tuesday. Both have lingered for months and though release was welcome, sorrowing hearts mourned their departure. A loving mother, a devoted daughter, they both leave voids in their homes which can never be filled. May their trust, their patience, their usefulness remain as lessons to those they leave behind.
