Funeral services will be held for Mrs. George Fisher, 81, in St. Mary's church at 9:30 a.m. Thursday (today). Rev. P. J. Casey will say the Requiem Mass.

Mrs. Fisher died in Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, Tuesday morning, Jan. 17. She had been a patient there for 2 weeks but has been in failing health for some time.

Bessie Mary Fisher was born August 22, 1885, the daughter of William R. and Louzetta Pieper Robinson. She was educated in the Hazel Hill country school.

She was married on Jan. 24, 1905 to George A. Fisher in St. Mary's church, Mechanicsville. They have always lived in the Mechanicsville community.

Survivors include her husband, George A. Fisher, and 8 children: Mrs. Adelbert (Bertha) Reid, Mrs. Leo (Alice) Driscoll, Mrs. David (Eldora) Driscoll, Cedar Rapids; Mary Fisher, Albert G. Fisher, Mrs. Ervin (Betty) Johnson, Mrs. Ralph (Marjorie) Varva, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Lou (Allene) Turner, Ottumwa. Also 2 sisters, Mrs. Alice Mershon, Madison, S. D., and Mrs. Erhmal Merfield, Aurora, S. D., 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and daughter who died in infancy, her parents, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Fisher, Edward Crock, Harold Fisher, Quentin Robinson, Virgil Miller and Donald Robinson.

Burial in Rose Hill cemetery, Horner's Funeral Service in charge.
